Who We Are<\/strong><\/h1>

Founded In Faith. Grown In Compassion.<\/strong><\/h3>

Oasis began long before it ever became an agency. Long before paperwork, offices, or programs, there were two people –\u00a0Kay and Charles Wheeler\u00a0<\/strong>– who opened their home to children who needed safety, stability, and love. Their personal faith inspired them to say “yes” to fostering, and compassion guided every decision they made. Over the years, they personally fostered\u00a0more than 150 youth<\/strong>, offering each child a place of safety and hope.<\/p>

By the time Oasis officially opened its doors in 2000, Kay and Charles had already spent years fostering, advocating, and standing in the gap for the children who needed someone to show up for them. Their lived experience shaped a vision for something bigger – a place where more families could be supported, more youth could be cared for, and more lives could be changed.<\/p>

Today, Oasis continues the mission they began while serving families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities.
