Oasis Requirements
* Over 21 years of age.
* In good emotional and physical health.
* Married or single.
* Can accept the temporary care of a child.
* Can provide and meet the needs of children in care.
* Can work as a team to develop the best care for the child.

Since both parents in the home must be trained, Oasis provides both the pre-placement training and the continuing
training to become a traditional and/or specialized care giver.  Training sessions are held monthly with activities for the
children in your care provided.
A food pantry is provided by Gathering Waters Ministries to provide food and other items to Oasis foster parents.

Foster parents receive payment depending on the level of care the child requires.

Each child in care earns two respite days a month. Another licensed Oasis foster family will provide respite for your child
while you still receive per diem pay.

Oasis provides a clothing allowance for  spring, fall, and winter clothing.  An additional clothing allowance may be
requested for initial clothing purchase or for special needs.

As a highly trained foster parent you are a professional who is certified and licensed to work in a cooperative planning
program with your foster child.  You will help decide the goals for a child to be successful in your home.

You will be treated professionally with personal support from Oasis professionals.

You will receive weekly contact from an Oasis case manager.
